Cellulite is often on our minds especially in the summer months and holiday times.
Cellulite is a condition which affects up to 90% of women at sometime in their life and is where the skin appears to have areas with underlying fat deposits, giving it a dimpled, lumpy appearance. It is most noticeable on the buttocks and thighs and usually occurs after puberty.
There are three grades of cellulite:
1. Is only apparent from microscopic examination which shows underlying anatomical changes
2. The skin shows pastiness, lower temperature, and reduced elasticity
3. Visible orange peel effect of rough skin
The cause of cellulite is unknown but is thought to involve a combination of hormones, genetics, diet, lifestyle factors and clothing.
"I have suffered from cellulite since my late teens and whenI was 23 years, I read about a machine called Endermologie in a Woman's magazine, so I decided to take the plunge and buy a course at Beautology. The treatment made a massive difference, but it is no doubt helped by a good diet, drinking lots of water and an improved exercise regime. I highly recommend it."
