Semi Permanent Make up
Semi Permanent Make up
Semi permanent make-up which is also known as permanent make-up, micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing is now an established aesthetic procedure, in which carefully applied permanent pigments are placed in the dermal layer of the skin. They are inorganic minerals which are hypo-allergenic, and there are no fragrances or other ingredients added.
What is semi-permanent make-up or micropigmentation?
Permanent make-up or micropigmentation is a delicate, controlled method of applying subtle micro-insertions of pigment into the skin. The technique is similar to standard tattooing. However, pigments are used instead of ink. The idea is to form a gentle shadow of colour to the skin, to achieve a natural look.
The pigments used are placed into the dermal layer of skin, and as the setting and healing process takes place over the following weeks, the epidermis covers the pigment. An anaesthetic is used during each procedure and an antibiotic ointment is applied after and during each treatment. Swelling is usually minimal and clients are able to resume normal activity and use of make-up the following day.
The final result is a natural enhancement of facial features:
- Brightening of the eyes by lengthening the look of lashes and strengthening eye contour and shape.
- Balancing and framing the face by thickening, shaping or even redefining brows.
- Enriching ones natural colour and shape of lips to achieve an all day, luscious pout.
- Add a bit of charm and uniqueness to your skin with a beauty mark.
