How do dermal fillers work?

A filler is a gel that is injected in to the line or wrinkle, cheeks or lips and immediately plumps up the area treated. We offer an anaesthetic cream or injecting to make the treatment comfortable for the patient. There are various fillers that we offer at Beautology, all natural products that do not require a skin test and is suitable for most patients.

At your consultation the nurse or doctor will discuss your treatment plan, the type and amount of filler that you would need to get the results you want and cost.

How many dermal filler treatments will I need?

Normally only one treatment is necessary. Your expectations determines the amount of filler.

Will the dermal filler treatment hurt?

Before we start the treatment we offer an anaesthetic cream or injection to numb the area to be treated making the injections more comfortable. Expect some redness and swelling, but most patients can return to work directly after the treatment.

How long will the dermal filler effect last for? and - How long do treatments take?

The effects of a filler can last between 6 months and 2 years depending on the type of product we use. We offer fillers that last from 6 to 12 months and some that are longer lasting. A filler treatment takes around 30 min to 45 min.
